SARU disciplinary update

Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21 lock Marvin Orie will appear before a SARU disciplinary committee in Pretoria on Tuesday after being cited for a dangerous tackle in the Absa Under-21 Competition on Saturday.

Orie was cited for allegedly contravening law 10.4 (e) by tackling DHL Western Province Under-21 lock JD Schickerling around the neck in the third minute of the match at Loftus Versfeld and holding the grip until both players fell to the ground.

Advocate Tokkie van Zyl has been appointed as the Judicial Officer. The hearing will begin at 16h00.

GWK Griquas No 8 Carel Greeff and Down Touch Griffons flank Frans Sisita will also face disciplinary hearings on Tuesday via teleconference.

Greeff received two yellow cards in their Absa Currie Cup Premier Division clash against the Toyota Free State Cheetahs in Kimberley, while Sisita received his third yellow card of the season in their Absa Currie Cup First Division clash against the Boland Cavaliers in Wellington on Saturday.

Advocate Donny Jacobs has been appointed as the Judicial Officer for both hearings.
